Pastor Ernest Chigozie Mbanefo who is believed to be behind popular money doubling scheme MMM Nigeria, has finally responded to claims that he owns the scheme.
Alleged owner of MMM Nigeria Pastor Mbanefo finally responds
The South African-based pastor who was once with the Living Faith Church A.K.A Winners Chapel, in Nigeria released a statement via his blog:
On the 2nd of December 2016, majority of Nigeria media houses posted unfounded, unverified, misleading articles about me being the owner/founder of MMM Nigeria.
I found the articles to be hilarious and wish to use this opportunity and platform to declare the following:
The Facts
1. I am neither the Owner nor the founder of MMM Nigeria.
2. I do not have any contact or acquaintance with the owner(s) or Founder(s) of MMM Nigeria.
3. I did not introduce MMM to Nigeria, but am glad it came.
4. I am an Ordinary Participant like the over 2 million Nigerians who are participants of MMM Nigeria.
5. I registered to join MMM Nigeria on the 2nd of June 2016 (see image for proof below).
6. I registered to be a guider (knowledgeable participants), and became a guider after fulfilling the requirements of the course.
7. I registered and own the domain which expires on the 7th of June 2019 (could be extended).
8. I make financial contributions (provide help) to the MMM Nigeria community like everyone else and accept all the benefits and risks like everyone else. On the 13th of October 2016, i provided help of N3,000,000.
Alleged owner of MMM Nigeria Pastor Mbanefo finally responds
I am a proud participant of MMM Nigeria and cannot wait to continue in January 2017
Since I joined MMM Nigeria, like the over two million Nigerians who are participants, I have benefited a lot from this divine arrangement. I am not moved of fazed by what the media say and how they have chosen to attack and destroy MMM Nigeria, my question is this;
How possible is it that any organization, company, project or business will survive the avalanche of attacks loaded with lies that MMM in any country suffers.
MMM is not a Pyramid Scheme
MMM is not a Ponzi Scheme
MMM is a Mutual Aid Fund
Long Live MMM Nigeria
Long Live MMM Global
Long Live federal Republic of Nigeria
Together we change the world.
Pastor Mbanefo, had earlier denied the allegations against him, stating that he has never met with the founder of the scheme in person.
According to reports on Friday, December 2, the pastor had been quoted as the Nigerian founder of the ponzi scheme, with the Nigerian Communication Week (NWC) reportedly stating that he registered the scheme as on June 7, 2016.

A serving female police officer has helped in the arrest of a suspected kidnapper.
The officer, a member of the police Rapid Response Squad (RRS), infiltrated the gang team.
The female officer joined the as a care giver and help leak information to the police.
Punch reports that the female officer was taking care of the kidnap victims during her undercover job among the kidnappers.
“We got a hint about the kidnap from one of the two persons that the prime suspect contracted. The man was not okay with the idea, so he came to tell us,” a source within the police said.
“A female member of the RRS decoy team joined the gang. She was given the job of taking care of members and the child after his abduction. For more than two weeks while the operation took shape, the investigator, pretending as an accomplice, got information from the prime suspect,” the source added.

The suspect Suleiman Seidu, 33, had kidnapped two residents of Kogi state before his arrest.
Seidu was said to be plotting to kidnap a two-year old child when he was finally arrested in the Owode area of Ogun State on Friday, December 23.
It was also gathered that Seidu had contracted two of his friends to assist in the operation, when the police got wind of the plan.
“The suspect told our mole that he had a motorcycle to aid him in the abduction of the boy, adding that the ransom would be N10m. He said the boy’s father was a landlord and a dealer in electrical appliances,” the source said.
Howevr, the arrested suspected said: “I had been monitoring the boy for two weeks. I observed that whenever the driver was taking him to school; he would first alight from the car to lock the gate because they didn’t have a gatekeeper in their house. Also, he takes him to school between 7am and 8am.
“What I planned was to kidnap the boy when the driver alighted from the car to close the gate and escape on a waiting motorcycle.
“I live in a room and parlour apartment, and I planned to keep him with me till his parents pay the ransom.
“I planned to demand N10m, but if his parents could not afford the whole money, I would have accepted N3m at the end of the day.
“I conceived the idea to kidnap him when I was left with no option because my mother is very ill at the moment.
“I just relocated to the area and didn’t know the nook and cranny very well. I thought of getting someone who knew the environment well to make the job easier for me.”
Also, the Lagos state police spokesperson Dolapo Badmos said the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
“The suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for further investigation,” Badmus said
