Captain of the Nigeria Super Eagles John Obi Mikel has featured in his first match for his new Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 after joining the club from Chelsea.

Mikel signed a three year deal for the Chinese club and he is expected to earn £140,000 per week in China

The 29-year-old midfielder took to Instagram on Wednesday, January, 11, 2017 to post a picture of himself posing with his new team-mates in the heat as the Chinese side played Borussia Monchengladbach II in a friendly duel.

The player who spent 10 years at Stamford bridge captioned his post as 'First friendly game with the team #TianjinTEDA.'
